Akoto Ofori-Atta is a journalist and music lover. She was a 2014 - 2015 John S. Knight journalism fellow at Stanford University. Currently, she is Managing Editor at The Trace, a news organization "dedicated to expanding coverage of guns in the United States." She previously held positions in music and culture at The Root and Essence.
